A 2024 graduate of the Esthetics program, Madelyn is now doing what she set out to do: building a career in skincare and lash extensions close to the community she grew up in.

“My journey gave me the confidence and hands-on experience to pursue my passion for esthetics. The instructors were so supportive and always gave me the push I needed,” Madelyn says. “I’m grateful for everything I learned and for the strong foundation they gave me to begin my career.”
Hands-On Training That Built Real Confidence
During her time at Raphael’s, Madelyn gained skills needed to launch a career as an esthetician. Rather than just learning techniques in theory, she and her classmates practiced services on one another, giving her a low-pressure way to build the skills she’d need with real clients.
When asked about her favorite memory at Raphael’s, Madelyn points to something simple but meaningful: watching her own progress. One of her favorite memories was practicing on classmates and seeing her skills improve with every service. Those repeated hands-on experiences built her confidence step by step, preparing her for a career in the beauty industry.
Life After Graduation: Esthetics at Oak & Ivy Salon
Today, Madelyn is continuing her passion for skincare and esthetics at Oak & Ivy Salon, a full-service salon in East Liverpool, Ohio, where she brings her skills and creativity to every client she works with, from facials to lash extensions.
“Madelyn is an absolute inspiration! She is incredible at her craft and treats every client with such care. We are so proud and grateful for her at the salon,” the salon shared.
